I was having one of those weeks. I wanted to give up on everything. My job, my kids, therapy. I felt isolated but I knew it was self-inflicted.
I was scrolling through social media late at night (not helping my situation, I know) and I came across a post about meeting for a waterfall hike.
Nature has a pretty strong track record of bringing me back to center.
So I drove 2.5 hours the next morning and met with people I didn’t know to hike an area I’d never been to. After a very short hike, we arrived at this first waterfall. We went on to see three more. I was quickly reminded of the power of the outdoors and the power of choosing to be around others especially when I don’t feel like it.
